RE: Homeade dump station

How come the turd threads always get the most posts on here? Put a motor operated gate valve on you sewer line and hit the button when you are going down the highway, noone will ever know. If cruise ships and air planes get away with it why can't we?

RE: Lance 835 on a F150

RE: So long Weight Police (Bi Bi)

The worse part of this whole thing is that you would actually by installing this be admitting that you are indeed overweight. Some of you couldn't handle that admission.

RE: Well this stinks..... Thanks for nothing Dodge....

I have yet to see anyone without a tc/camper towing/work truck actually use their 3/4-1 ton for anything other than daily driving. There should be a law that is you buy one you have to tow or haul something with it. They could easily make a coil springed 3/4 1-ton for the diesel equivelent of a ricer.

RE: New Lance 825 - Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan

There is always this little gem of information http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/19276890.cfm Lots of old school Tundras making it happen.

RE: Ford F350 SRW vs DODGE 3500 and CHEV 3500 GVWR

Everyone knows that Ford is the #1 choice of truck people who haul or tow things. Isn't this common knowledge? All three are good trucks but Ford always has looked tougher.

RE: Oil in propane lines

I had a "natural" kink in my hose from the reg. to the fitting at the entrance to my camper in the propane tank bay. Seems that when the cold weather striked it lost all of its ability to flex and thus created a slowing of the flow of propane. This caused my heater to become very stubborn about starting although it would on occasion, it would make a pulsating sound. All of my other appliances worked just fine adding to the troubleshooting process. Anyhow I know this is slightly off topic now after reading the above threads but I thought it would be a heads up for some. I think your comments fit well. I have a friend in the aircraft service business in Kansas City.... he tells me that many time they find that if there has been a kink in the hose the laminations will seperate... the outside will look ok... the inside will be closed off. He says if you cut the hose into you'll see the seperations. He says... always replace any hose that has been kinked. Thanks Sleepy, yep the hose is going to get replaced just for the simple fact that unless I manipulate it in cold weather to stay bent a certain way I will inevitably end up with this problem again. My thought is to hard pipe it from the regulator to get it up and out of the way of the tank and to get rid of the rubber hose that I don't really trust in the first place. I will rest better knowing that my hose isn't kinked. Do you think you'll have a problem with vibration loosening the fittings? I will take countermeasures, maybe a small dab of loctite blue, just enought to make it not loosen.

TRAVELNUTZ/BRAD........Here is a photo of the modification I believe you were trying to explain. Does this look right to you guys? http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh60/ARM-01/PDR_2718.jpg GBUTALA......Your post mentioned kinks in the lines. Here is a photo of a kink I can't resolve without adding a lot more hose. Is this less or greater than "kinks" you were concerned about? http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh60/ARM-01/PDR_2714.jpg The kink coming off of your regulator is pretty much identical to the one that I have.

RE: Oil in propane lines

I have had a problem with the furnace lighting on my 815. It has electronic spark ignition. The way I got the furnace to fire is a bit unorthodox but it works in a pinch. If you go outside and smell gas when the furnace is trying to light then you have hope, I simply move my hand back and forth over the outside vent and like magic it lights when I do this. I guess it keeps enough gas in the combustion chamber for a moment, just enough to light otherwise it just seems to blow the combustion gas out. Just a heads up.

RE: have you slowed down

Way down! The 400 bucks for gas to get to work everyday doesn't leave much for the rig. Time for a motor cycle or publc transportation. Reddog1 stays in his truck camper 4 nights a week at his job... can you do that? There is going to be some negotiation for a car and gas card come raise time.

Way down! The 400 bucks for gas to get to work everyday doesn't leave much for the rig. $400 every day.. maybe you should move closer to work :E I'm assuming you mean per month.. Assuming you get 15mpg that means your driving about 90 miles a day, really you should consider living closer to work, assuming that's all freeway at 60mph that's 3 hours of your life spent just getting to work and back every day.. pretty depressing to spend that big a chunk of your life on an activity like commuting. 80 bucks a fill up 5X a month, thats just me not counting the wife.

RE: So Long rv.net

It's been (3) good years on this site but the personal attacks on another thread have taken all the pleasure out of visiting here. FYI, it was the WalMart at the intersection of Interstate 66 & Route 234 in Manassas, Virginia. I was parked on the side of the building near the garden center. The name of the towing company is Dominion Towing. It was a black truck. I was volunteering at one of the local charities in Manassas, Virginia. I was unloading donations from cars and loading up semi trucks with the donations. I was trying to be a good guy. It amazes me that people actually think that a grown man would sit here and make this up. What for ? I only wanted to pass on information to fellow TC people. I belive I've been a sound member here and have never offended a soul. Thanks to alot of fine folks that have helped me over these past(3)years with my TC questions. Hopefully I was able to help a few folks out as well. No offense but if you are this sensitive you might not want to be on any forums period much less this one. Why not chill from the forum for awhile and then come back...
